DISTINGUISHED STUDENTS



DAVID ATKINSON has won many prizes and the 1999 Junior Trophy in the Kiwanis Music Festival and was twice finalist in the Canadian Music Competitions Provincial Final. First performer of my Concertino, Lullaby, and (with Kaori Ogawa) Variations on a Hungarian Folk Song. He played in the masterclass of the celebrated Hungarian pianist, Jeno Jandó that I organized in 1998. After winning countless prizes and trophies he went on to study jazz piano at Humber College, Toronto.




James Atkinson has won many prizes in the Kiwanis Music Festival and was finalist in the Canadian Music Competitions Provincial Final. In 1991 James was the winner of the Ontario Young Artist Competition and was finalist in the CFMTA National Competition and appeared as soloist on the CBC. He received a music degree from the University of Waterloo. Since he has travelled the world as a teacher.




Alex Boily has won numerous prizes and Trophies in the Kiwanis Music Festival and won the Most Outstanding Musician title in the Festival Interprovincial. He has received his nusic degree from the University of Ottawa and spent a year in Japan.




Ellis Choe was the winner of the Musical Arts Trophy in the Kiwanis Music Festival and appeared as soloist on the CBC.




Theresa Chung participated with great success int the Kiwanis music Festival for many years. The picture shows her with Marie-Helene Hudon after winning a Piano Duo Trophy.



After winning many awards in the Kiwanis Music Festival and other competitions, Dr. Marie-Helene (Hudon)Crawford studied at McGill University and received a Ph.D. in piano performance from the University of Montreal. First performer of my Improvistions II. She teaches piano in Arnprior, her new home.



Joel Dorner has won numerous prizes and Trophies in the Kiwanis Music Festival and won the Most Outstanding Musician title in the Festival interprovincial. He played in the masterclass of the celebrated Hungarian pianist, Jeno Jandó that I organized in 1998. Joel has studied music at the University of Ottawa.




Jennifer Holtzman has won numerous prizes in the Kiwanis Music Festival and the Festival Interprovincial. She played in the masterclass of the celebrated Hungarian pianist, Jeno Jandó that I organized in 1997. Presently she is studying in the United States.




Taissa Replansky has won numerous prizes in the Kiwanis Music Festival. First performer of my Meditation. She is studying at McGill University in Montreal.
