The music teaching studio was founded in 1983 by Beatrix and Gábor Finta, graduates of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary (the new name of this world famous institution is Franz Liszt Music University). The Fintas have immigrated from Hungary in 1982 where they have taught at the Béla Bartók Conservatory and at the Liszt Academy for about ten years.

The teaching is based loosely on the curriculum of the Royal Conservatory of Music,Toronto but an attempt is made to incorporate elements of the world reknowned Kodály Concept of music education.

Our students have achieved many outstanding results in local, provincial and national competitions and festivals. We can not list them all - it would fill many pages - but we are very proud of them.
