BEATRIX FINTA
Beatrix
Finta was born and educated in Budapest, Hungary, and is a graduate of the Choral Conducting and Music
Education Faculty of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest.
Beatrix was a member of several choirs that
won national and international prizes. She had vocal training for a number of
years under the guidance of well-known professors at the Liszt
Academy.
In Hungary, she taught at music primary schools and later became
professor at the Bartók Conservatory.
Besides leading several choirs, she often sang solos in recitals. Presently, she is the director of the
Ottawa Hungarian Choir.
Since her arrival in Canada, she has been guest professor at various
universities and was a speaker at several music education conventions. She is an Honorary Member of
the Kodály Society of Canada.
Presently, she maintains a busy teaching schedule in her private studio.
The CD was produced in December, 2000 and contains the recordings of the repertoire of the
Hungarian Millennium Tour and it was conducted by Beatrix Finta. Just send an e-mail to order:
